The Springfield Police Department is currently investigating a deadly shooting that occurred earlier this week in Springfield, Massachusetts. The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Daniel Romero of Springfield.

According to Springfield Police spokesperson Ryan Walsh, officers received a report of a shooting victim at around 10:45 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered an adult male victim inside a vehicle and immediately provided first aid. The victim was then transported to Baystate Medical Center, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
