A tragic incident occurred in Houston in 2022, resulting in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old girl at an apartment complex in the Greenspoint area. The Houston Police Department has arrested and charged Christian Ramirez, also 17 years old, with murder in the 209th State District Court for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of Kierra Blackshear.
The unfortunate incident took place at an apartment complex on Greens Road at approximately 10:15 a.m. Investigators have determined that multiple individuals were present inside the apartment when one of them fired at least one shot at Blackshear. Following the shooting, Ramirez and several witnesses fled the scene.
Ramirez was apprehended by the Wharton County Sheriff’s Office on July 19, 2022, and subsequently referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a murder charge. However, on June 28, 2023, Ramirez was certified as an adult and transferred to the custody of the Harris County Joint Processing Center.
During the investigation, another individual initially considered a person of interest in the case was questioned and subsequently released without any charges being filed against him.
