A love triangle in Sherman, Texas, took a dangerous turn when a confrontation between two men led to a crash, leaving one man critically injured and the other behind bars. The incident occurred on Friday when 33-year-old Cody Kuntz and 26-year-old Daniel Blakley got into an altercation.
According to reports, Blakley got into his vehicle while Kuntz took off on his motorcycle. Police believe that Blakley’s vehicle struck Kuntz’s motorcycle and then crashed into the back of an AutoZone, leaving Kuntz pinned underneath the vehicle.
The root cause of the confrontation appears to be a romantic entanglement involving Blakley’s wife, Amanda Blakley, and Kuntz’s girlfriend, Kacie Gunter Amuda. Amanda Blakley revealed that she had been separated from her husband for the past two months and had begun a relationship with Kuntz during that time.
The altercation took place in the parking lot of a Lowe’s in Sherman. Amanda Blakley described how her husband confronted Kuntz, provoking him while he stood calmly. Blakley then got into his vehicle and followed Kuntz for almost a mile before the crash occurred.
As a result of the crash, Kuntz was flown to a hospital in Plano, Texas, in critical condition. He has undergone two surgeries and is currently in a medically induced coma due to serious internal injuries.
Blakley was arrested the following day and charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. He is currently being held in the Grayson County Jail on a $1 million bond.
The incident has left both families devastated and hoping for Kuntz’s recovery. Amuda expressed her concern for his condition, emphasizing that despite his current progress, anything could happen at this point.
