A tragic incident occurred in Posey County, Indiana on Monday, resulting in the arrest of a man named Dustin Broad. The Posey County Sheriff’s Office reported that Broad, a 35-year-old resident of Spotsville, Kentucky, was taken into custody following a deadly crash.

Deputies were called to the scene of the accident, which took place in the vicinity of SR 66 and Bluegrass Road. They discovered a vehicle in a ditch, with a man and a woman inside. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, later identified as Broad, managed to escape from the vehicle and was subsequently transported to the hospital. Fortunately, he was released after receiving treatment.

Investigations carried out by the PCSO revealed that Broad was driving with a suspended license at the time of the crash. Additionally, he had multiple active warrants from Vanderburgh County and Warrick County. It is also suspected that Broad was under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the incident.

Broad has been charged with several offenses, including felony DUI and DUI causing death, along with several misdemeanors. Notably, he had a prior conviction for driving under the influence.

At this time, the identity of the deceased woman has not been disclosed by the authorities.
