“19-Year-Old Woman Dead After Ex-Boyfriend Kidnaps Her at Wingstop”

A tragic incident unfolded at a Wingstop in Fayette County, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old woman. According to the police, the victim was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend, Cameron Ja’Michael Hopkins, who led officers on a chase that ended outside a high school in another county. Hopkins is now in custody, thanks to the efforts of Fayetteville and Clayton County police departments.

The incident occurred on Sunday around 11 p.m. when Fayetteville Police received a kidnapping call from the wings restaurant. 911 callers reported that Hopkins had entered the establishment and taken his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint. They left in a Red Camaro, which was later spotted by officers who began to follow it. The pursuit continued into Clayton County, where Hopkins eventually pulled into Lovejoy High School.

Fayetteville police decided to end the chase by conducting a precision immobilization technique (PIT) maneuver. During this process, several gunshots were fired inside the car, with Hopkins also firing shots at the officers’ cars. Thankfully, no officers were injured.

Officers and deputies found the 19-year-old woman dead inside the Camaro, with multiple gunshot wounds. Her identity has not been released at this time.

Hopkins will face charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault in Fayetteville, while the charges in Clayton County have yet to be disclosed.
