“Fargo Police Officer Killed, Two Officers and Two Civilians Injured in Shooting”

On Friday, a tragic shooting incident took place in Fargo, North Dakota, resulting in the death of a police officer and critical injuries to two other officers and two civilians. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Mohamad Barakat, opened fire, although it is still unclear whether he used a semi-automatic or automatic weapon.

Officer Jake Wallin, who had recently joined the force in April, was fatally shot at the age of 23. Officers Andrew Dotas and Tyler Hawes sustained gunshot wounds and are currently in critical but stable conditions at local hospitals.

Officer Zachary Robinson, who shot and killed the suspect, has been placed on paid administrative leave while the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation conducts an inquiry into the use of force according to the department’s standard operating procedure.
