A tragic incident occurred in Tucson, Arizona, as a pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a vehicle. The incident took place at the intersection of South Nogales Highway and East Felix Road. Authorities received a distress call on Thursday evening at 8:04 p.m., reporting a man down in the area.
Upon reaching the scene, deputies discovered the lifeless body of a man lying by the roadside. Evidence indicated that he had been hit by a car. Shockingly, an hour after the incident, 50-year-old Johnny Badilla arrived and confessed to hitting either a person or an animal in the vicinity.
Detectives promptly proceeded to Badilla’s residence and discovered his vehicle, which exhibited damage consistent with the collision. Consequently, Badilla was arrested and charged with failing to stop and remain at the scene of an accident involving a fatality.
