“23-Year-Old Motorcyclist James Dobbins Dies in Tragic Three-Vehicle Crash”

A tragic motorcycle crash in Wayne Township claimed the life of a 23-year-old man on Thursday night. The incident occurred on State Route 73 near Carter Drive at approximately 9:42 p.m. According to the Lebanon post of Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash involved three vehicles.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Kawasaki ZX600 motorcycle was traveling west on State Route 73 when it collided with the left rear of a 2008 Chevrolet HHR, which was turning west onto State Route 73 from Carter Drive. The impact caused the motorcycle to veer over the centerline and collide head-on with a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer traveling east on State Route 73.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as James Dobbins from Springboro, suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. Despite wearing a safety helmet, Dobbins succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, no one else reported any injuries in the incident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol took charge of the investigation, with assistance from various local agencies including the Waynesville Police Department, Clearcreek Township Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Waynesville Township Fire and EMS, and Ohio Department of Transportation.

This tragic accident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety, particularly for motorcyclists.
