A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that took place on June 9 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. The Sierra Vista Police Department announced the arrest of 21-year-old Manuel Long on June 30. The shooting was reported by an employee at the Canyon Vista Medical Center, and when police arrived at the scene, they found a victim with a gunshot injury. The victim, 19-year-old Jaime Torres, was brought to the medical center by Long and a female companion. Unfortunately, attempts to revive Torres were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead by the emergency room physician.
After completing several search warrants and multiple witness interviews, detectives established probable cause to arrest Long. He was identified as the owner of the weapon used in the shooting and was known to Torres. The female companion who was with Long and Torres during the incident was also identified and found to have assisted in bringing Torres to the medical center.

Long has been booked into the Cochise County Jail and is facing charges of manslaughter, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, and influencing a witness.
