A woman from Griffin, Georgia has been arrested in connection with two recent shootings in Spalding County. Darlene Harden, 46, has been charged with aggravated assault, criminal trespass, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. She is also a possible suspect in a similar shooting in Clayton County. Harden is currently being held in the Spalding County Jail without bond.

The first shooting occurred on Sunday morning when a 29-year-old male was shot in the chest and back while stopped at a traffic light. The victim was able to roll out of his vehicle to escape the gunfire, and his vehicle crashed into a tree. Two witnesses saw the victim and stayed with him until help arrived. The victim was treated for his injuries and has been released from the hospital.

Investigators were able to link Harden to the shootings through video evidence and vehicle registration. They also discovered that she was out on bond from another shooting incident that occurred in Griffin.

Authorities have executed search warrants at Harden’s residence and have recovered evidence. They have also met with investigators from Clayton County due to similarities between the shootings. They believe there is strong evidence linking Harden to another shooting in Clayton County, where the victim is currently on life support.

Sheriff Darrell Dix has emphasized that the shootings are not gang-related and that the victims had no connection to Harden. He also urged anyone with information about the incidents to contact the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office.

As the investigation continues, authorities are reaching out to other agencies along Highway 19/41 to see if there are any similar unsolved cases that may be connected to Harden..
