In a tragic incident, two people were killed and five others were injured in a shooting at a shopping center in Amarillo, Texas. The incident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, according to a press release from the Amarillo Police Department.

The shooting took place in the 3500 block of South Georgia Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found seven people who had been shot. Unfortunately, one of the victims died at the scene. The remaining victims were transported to three different emergency rooms by Amarillo Medical Response and private vehicles.

Another victim succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The two victims have been identified as Semagea D Smith, 32, and Dequincton T Taylor, 28.

At the time of the press release, no arrests had been made and the Amarillo Police Homicide Unit was still investigating the incident.
