A hit-and-run crash on State Road 472 in Volusia County, Florida, resulted in the death of a pedestrian early Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred before 4 a.m. at the intersection of SR-472 and Durfey Avenue.
Preliminary reports suggest that a vehicle traveling eastbound struck a pedestrian who was either kneeling or lying down in the inside lane, outside of a marked crosswalk.
