Haven’t gone on a proper “vacation” in years, because of everything that has happened.
Life often pulls us in many directions, leaving little room for the kind of escape that a vacation provides. It’s been years since I had a real break, and the weight of everyday responsibilities can feel overwhelming. That’s why I was thrilled to receive an offer from a lovely woman who generously opened up her beach house for a week.
Tomorrow, I get to take my sons there and just get away for the first time in what feels like forever. The thought of sandy toes, ocean breezes, and sunset strolls is utterly refreshing. I can already envision the laughter we’ll share, building sandcastles by day and roasting marshmallows under a starlit sky by night. A beach vacation offers not just a change of scenery but a precious opportunity to bond with my boys, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
While I’m away, I know I’ll probably be quiet on here. Disconnecting from social media and fully immersing myself in this experience is essential. It’s a chance for us to recharge, to laugh, and to simply be together without distractions.
If you’re also feeling the weight of life’s demands, consider taking a break when you can. A change of scenery can do wonders for your mental health. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a week at the beach, prioritize some time for yourself and your loved ones. You deserve it!
So, here’s to the little moments that make life beautiful. I look forward to sharing my adventures when I return, but for now, I’m ready to embrace this much-needed escape.
