Police in Hartford, Connecticut are currently investigating a double homicide that occurred on Saturday morning. The incident took place at 641 Garden Street, where gunshots were reported before 5:00 a.m. According to authorities, the shooting followed an altercation that transpired at an “after-hours party.”
During the investigation, it was revealed that the initial shooter, identified as 36-year-old Adrian Easterling of Hartford, shot and killed a victim as a result of the altercation. Subsequently, a second shooter shot and killed Easterling in an effort to prevent further harm to others. In total, there were two shooters involved in the incident, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving another injured.
The victim killed during the altercation has been identified as 28-year-old Akeem Williams, also from Hartford, according to NBC Boston. The second shooter remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police.
The investigation into the double homicide is still ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more information and evidence related to the incident.
