Sam dedicated his life to education and art, leaving a lasting impact on the students he taught. For 38 years, he served as an art teacher at DuBois Area High School, earning a reputation for his creativity and passion. Even after retiring, Sam continued to share his knowledge and skills as a volunteer teacher at DuBois Christian School. His ability to teach both the Bible and art was truly remarkable.

In addition to his teaching career, Sam excelled as a track and field coach for both DuBois High School and DuBois Christian Schools. He also found joy in broadcasting Little League Baseball and high school football games on WDBA Radio.

A Passion for Nature and Family

Outside the classroom and sports field, Sam cherished spending time outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing with his loved ones.
