Shooting Incident on Benita Fitzgerald Dr. and Brickwood Dr. Injures 17-Year-Old

Authorities responded to a shooting incident that took place on February 7 at 3:25 PM in the Woodbridge area. The incident occurred at the intersection of Benita Fitzgerald Dr. and Brickwood Dr., where a 17-year-old male juvenile sustained a gunshot wound inside a residential property. The injured juvenile was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. According to the investigation, the juvenile was walking in the vicinity when multiple gunshots were fired, resulting in him being struck. Witnesses reported seeing a four-door vehicle fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no other individuals were harmed, and no property damage was reported. It is worth noting that this incident happened on the same street where a tragic incident occurred recently, resulting in the death of a North Carolina woman after being hit by a stray bullet on February 2, 2024.

Road Rage Incident Near Colgan High School Leads to Arrest

Law enforcement officers promptly responded to a distress call reporting a fight involving weapons on February 4 at 1:20 PM in the vicinity of Colgan High School. The incident unfolded as a result of a road rage altercation between a 52-year-old man and another driver. During the confrontation, the accused individual, identified as Timmy Mitchell DEANE, brandished a firearm and discharged a round, striking a nearby vehicle. A brief struggle ensued over the possession of the firearm, ultimately resulting in the victim gaining control over it. DEANE was subsequently apprehended and charged with attempted malicious wounding, shooting from a vehicle, and destruction of property.

Unattended Children Discovered in High Pointe at Rippon Landing Condominiums

Authorities received a report concerning the discovery of unattended children on February 5 at 6:59 PM at the High Pointe at Rippon Landing Condominiums. Upon arrival, officers found a 23-month-old boy sitting unsupervised on a stairwell and a 3-year-old boy sleeping without supervision inside the residence. The father, identified as Ever PLEITEZ-MARTINEZ, returned to the premises under the influence of alcohol. Consequently, he was arrested and charged with felony child neglect and driving under the influence (DUI).

Gunshots Fired into Residence at Regency Apartments

On February 6 at 9:27 PM, law enforcement officers swiftly responded to a report of shots being fired at the Regency Apartments near Manassas. Preliminary investigations revealed that multiple shots were discharged, resulting in an apartment being struck. Witnesses reported observing a dark-colored van leaving the vicinity after the incident. Fortunately, no injuries or further property damage were reported as a result of the gunfire.

Robbery Occurs Inside Potomac Mills Shopping Centre

An unfortunate incident took place on February 6 at 5:21 PM, wherein a 17-year-old male juvenile was robbed inside Potomac Mills. The victim was accosted by an unknown male who demanded his clothing, while implying possession of a weapon. Following the demand, the suspect swiftly fled the store with the stolen clothing. Authorities described the suspect as a thin male wearing a black mask, a black jacket, and a grey hooded sweatshirt.

Assault on Law Enforcement Officer at Somerset Point Apartments in Gainesville

Officers responded to a noise violation complaint on February 8 at 3:44 PM, leading them to Somerset Point Apartments in Gainesville. While conducting their investigation, law enforcement officers identified an individual with active arrest warrants, identified as Joshua Chidi KING. Upon attempting to arrest KING, he resisted and physically assaulted one of the officers. The injured officer received medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries, and KING was subsequently taken into custody. He now faces charges of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, as well as obstruction of justice.
