Police authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the tragic murder of a 27-year-old man who was fatally shot following a heated altercation outside a bar in Point Fortin in the early hours of February 10.
The victim has been identified as Shaikel St Louis.
According to initial reports from the police, the incident occurred at around 2 am at the Level One Bar in Point Fortin. Two individuals involved in the altercation eventually left the bar premises and proceeded to Wickham Street. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported hearing gunshots, and it was discovered that St Louis had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Police have clarified that St Louis was not directly involved in the initial argument.
Authorities were alerted to the incident at approximately 2:35 am, and upon their arrival just five minutes later, they found St Louis lying lifeless on the road.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are actively working to gather more information and evidence.
