America, the bald eagle, held a special place in the hearts of many. Regrettably, his quality of life began to decline due to inflammation of the heart. After careful consideration, the difficult decision was made to euthanize him peacefully.
Born as part of a bald eagle reintroduction program in Tennessee, America faced a tragic setback early in life. He suffered a wing injury caused by a gunshot wound, preventing him from thriving in the wild. Recognizing the need for intervention, the American Eagle Foundation took him under their care.
