Geingob’s political journey began in the early 1970s when he joined the South West Africa People’s Organization (SWAPO). As a prominent SWAPO member, he played a crucial role in the negotiations that led to Namibia’s independence in 1990. Following this historic achievement, Geingob served as Namibia’s Prime Minister from 1990 to 2002, solidifying his reputation as a skilled diplomat and advocate for progress.
