He obtained his education in the United States, earning a Bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and later completing his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in International Relations from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.

Returning to Namibia in 1989, President Geingob played a crucial role in the country’s transition to independence. He served as the founding Prime Minister and later as the Minister of Trade and Industry, making significant strides in promoting economic growth and stability. His leadership was marked by a strong commitment to social justice and equality, ensuring that all Namibians had access to basic necessities and opportunities for a better future.

In 2015, Hage Geingob was elected as the third President of Namibia, a position he held until his untimely passing.
