Emma, who served as the Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Dance Umbrella from 2013 to 2021, has left an indelible mark on the dance world.
Emma Gladstone made significant contributions to the world of dance throughout her career. Prior to her role at Dance Umbrella, she served as the artistic programmer at Sadler’s Wells from 2005 to 2013. During her time there, she established the Jerwood Choreographic Research Programme, which aimed to stimulate new thinking in choreography and allowed artists to freely explore their creativity.
