A heartbreaking incident occurred late Friday night in Union County, resulting in the loss of a young life. The accident took place in the 400 block of East 1st Street in Roselle, where a BMW and a Subaru collided in a head-on collision.
According to authorities, the collision was so severe that the BMW caught fire shortly after impact. Thankfully, several good Samaritans rushed to the scene and managed to pull the sole occupant of the BMW, identified as Brandon Amaro from Roselle, out of the vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames.
Despite the valiant efforts of responding officers who administered CPR, Amaro tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the Subaru, a husband and wife, also sustained serious injuries in the collision and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. As of Saturday evening, they remain in serious but stable condition, receiving medical care for their multiple injuries.
