In a tragic incident in Mulund, a 17-year-old boy lost his life after being attacked by three teenagers in a dispute over gutkha on Friday evening. The victim, identified as Mohammad Hussain Khan from Thane, was fatally stabbed near a waterfall in the Vasant Garden area. The altercation ensued when the group of three confronted Khan and his 16-year-old companion.
The trio demanded gutkha from Khan, who refused to share, leading to a heated argument. The situation escalated as the teenagers brandished a knife and proceeded to stab Khan multiple times in the chest and thighs. Subsequently, the assailants fled the scene, leaving Khan’s friend to seek help from the local community, who promptly alerted the authorities.
Khan was rushed to Agarwal Hospital for urgent medical attention, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries before reaching the medical facility. The Mulund police promptly launched a murder investigation, but the perpetrators were nowhere to be found, with their parents claiming no knowledge of their whereabouts. A dedicated task force has been established to locate the fugitive teenage suspects.
