Angela Hayslett : Tragic Murder-Suicide: Couple Found Dead

Authorities in Preble County are currently investigating a tragic incident that has left a man and a woman dead in what appears to be a murder-suicide. The incident took place on Sunday morning at approximately 9:54 a.m. when the Preble County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing 911 call from an individual who discovered her parents deceased in their residence on Sonora Road, located north of Lewisburg.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found the lifeless bodies of a man and a woman inside the home. The woman has been identified as 56-year-old Angela Hayslett, who was found with gunshot wounds, while the man has been identified as 60-year-old Matthew Hayslett, who appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The couple, who were married, had a history of being together intermittently at the residence.

Autopsies were conducted by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office on Monday to determine the exact cause of death. Based on the evidence gathered at the scene, authorities are treating the incident as a murder-suicide. The Preble County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the county coroner, is continuing the investigation to uncover further details surrounding the tragic event.
