Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A Grand Island resident, Ryan Beck, has been sentenced to 30 to 45 years in prison by Hall County District Judge Andrew Butler for a sexual assault case. Beck, aged 20, will also have to register as a sex offender as part of his sentence. The judge credited Beck with 31 days for time already served.

Back in March, Beck entered a plea of no contest to a charge of felony first-degree sexual assault. This plea agreement resulted in the charge being reduced from felony first-degree sexual assault of a child.

The case against Beck stems from an incident in June 2023, where he was accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl. Grand Island Police encountered Beck and the girl in a vehicle at Ashley Park late at night, with the vehicle violating curfew regulations.

Upon separating Beck and the girl, the police were informed by the young victim that she had experienced sexual contact with Beck while they were at the park.

Ryan Beck, 20, has pleaded no contest to first-degree sexual assault.

This sentencing serves as a reminder of the severity of such crimes and the importance of justice for victims. The decision by the judge reflects the gravity of Beck’s actions and the impact they have had on the young girl involved. It is hoped that this sentence will provide some measure of closure and justice for the victim and her family.
