Javontee Brice : “Florida Man Killed in Triple Homicide Shootout”

A tragic incident unfolded near the Georgia-Florida line as a man was killed in a shootout with authorities after allegedly committing a triple homicide in Florida.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) issued a press release stating that deputies were alerted to a triple homicide suspect from the Manatee County area.

In the early hours of the morning, HCSO deputies spotted the suspect’s vehicle travelling north on I-75 in Jasper, Florida. The vehicle was occupied by a black male driver and a black female passenger.

The suspect, identified as Javontee Brice, 28, was reportedly en route to Georgia to target a fourth individual. The exact location in Georgia was not specified.

Upon conducting a felony traffic stop at the Exxon parking lot in Jasper, the suspect opened fire on deputies. In self-defence, two deputies returned fire, ultimately resulting in the death of Brice. Fortunately, the deputies emerged unscathed from the incident.

The female passenger, identified as Breonna Monique Davis, escaped unharmed and is not facing any charges in connection to the incident.

According to authorities, Brice was responsible for the deaths of his mother and two other adult women in Florida.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has been called in to investigate the deputy-involved shooting, while the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation into the triple homicide.

Assuring residents of Hamilton County, the HCSO emphasised that this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
