In a heartbreaking incident in Kandivli area of Mumbai, a 19-year-old youth, identified as Pratham Krishna Naik, took his own life by jumping from the terrace of a 22-storey building. The young man was reportedly angered by his father’s insistence that he report to work at a Pizza shop in a mall.
According to the Kandivali police station official, Naik had skipped work on Monday, prompting his father to receive a call from the pizza shop. Concerned, his father went searching for him and found him at Dahanukarwadi metro station late at night. Upon questioning him about why he had missed work, Naik’s father instructed him to go to the pizza shop.
However, the teenager, in a moment of rage, made the tragic decision to rush to the terrace of the building and jump. Residents of the building discovered Naik lying in a pool of blood and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. Tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The Kandivali police have registered a case of accidental death and are conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
