A human arm discovered about 50 miles from Milwaukee on an Illinois Beach has been confirmed to be that of Sade Robinson, the Black Wisconsin college student who was tragically killed and dismembered following a first date on April 1 with Maxwell Anderson.

The arm was found by a passerby at Waukegan Municipal Beach on May 11, as reported by the Lake County Coroner’s Office. Through DNA analysis, the arm was positively identified as belonging to Robinson, and her family was informed of the discovery last week.

In a statement, coroner Jennifer Banek expressed her condolences to Robinson’s family and friends for the tragic loss. The Robinson family’s attorney, Verona Swanigan, stated that Sheena Scarbrough, Robinson’s mother, is devastated by the news of her daughter’s murder and dismemberment.

Additional parts of Robinson’s remains, including her other arm, a severed right leg, torso, and foot with pink nail polish on the toes, have been found in various locations since April.

Scarbrough is awaiting the recovery of all her daughter’s belongings before making final arrangements for her return home. Swanigan mentioned that Scarbrough is deeply troubled by the thought of where the rest of her daughter’s body may be located.

The investigation into Robinson’s disappearance started after she failed to report for work at Pizza Shuttle the morning after her date with Anderson. It quickly turned into a murder investigation when a severed leg identified as Robinson’s was discovered in southern Milwaukee.

Authorities tracked Robinson’s movements to a seafood restaurant, a nearby sports bar, Anderson’s residence, and the park where her leg was found. Anderson has been charged with murder, pleaded not guilty, and is currently held on bail.

The Robinson family is still hoping for a confession from Anderson, as Scarbrough yearns to lay her daughter to rest peacefully and put an end to the torment of not knowing her daughter’s whereabouts.
