Details of the Incident
Hyderabad: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped multiple times by five youngsters in the city, a complaint from her mother stated. The mother of the victim approached Kachiguda Police to file a complaint in the matter. According to reports, the girl had a boyfriend who resided in Neredmet.
The boyfriend would often take her out on his bike. One fateful day, he is said to have sexually assaulted her in Neredmet. Subsequently, he introduced her to his friends who also allegedly assaulted her.
Police Investigation
Subhash, the sub-inspector of Kachiguda Police Station, commented on the incident saying, “Yesterday, the victim’s mother lodged a complaint against five individuals. The girl, a resident of Kachiguda, was in a relationship with a boy from Neredmet. The boyfriend reportedly sexually assaulted her in Neredmet.”
“After some time, he introduced his acquaintances to her, and they too assaulted her. A case has been registered and an investigation is ongoing,” he added, as quoted by TOI.
Another Incident of Sexual Assault
In a separate incident, a man was arrested for raping his 14-year-old niece under the jurisdiction of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police station. The accused, identified as Potharaju Lokesh, aged 35, allegedly raped the teenager on multiple occasions.
The survivor’s family caught the accused in the act, leading them to file a complaint with the police. The accused has been remanded in custody as per official reports.
