Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Recent developments in the NEET-UG paper leak case have brought forth new revelations as the investigation gains momentum, as reported by ToI on June 25.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched a probe into the alleged irregularities surrounding the NEET-UG exam in Patna. Two CBI officials visited the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) office of the Bihar police, where an FIR was lodged on May 5 following the initial exposure of the alleged scam. The investigation is not limited to Patna but also includes other regions such as Hazaribagh in Jharkhand and Godhra in Gujarat.

Additionally, a team from the Shastri Nagar police station has also joined the investigation at the EOU office, where several suspects linked to the NEET-UG paper leak have been arrested. Among those questioned is Chandra Kishore Yadav, the father of Sonu Kumar, a student suspected of involvement in the irregularities.

An EOU officer stated, “CBI officers are gathering evidence related to the case from EOU. The evidence includes burnt question paper remnants recovered from a residence in Patna, cellphones of the arrested individuals, SIM cards, laptops, post-dated cheques, and reference question papers provided by the National Testing Agency (NTA).” The officer also mentioned that those arrested are currently in judicial custody in Patna and may be taken to Delhi for further questioning.

Further investigations revealed that the burnt question paper remnants matched those from an exam center in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Attention has now shifted towards a courier company in Jharkhand that mistakenly delivered question paper packets to the wrong location just days before the exam.

Moreover, a team of CBI officials has been dispatched to Godhra in Gujarat to delve into alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exam in that region.

The ongoing probes in Patna, Hazaribagh, and Godhra underscore the intricate nature of the case, implicating various layers of logistics and security protocols. The CBI’s objective is to uncover the modus operandi and the extent of involvement of different individuals and entities in the scandal.
