Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a heartbreaking turn of events at the Two-Mile Rapids area of Rogue River in Curry County, Oregon, a rafting trip took a tragic turn when two women and a dog were flipped out of the raft. Sadly, one of the women, identified as 66-year-old Mary Kohn of Powers, drowned in the river.

Despite the efforts of others in the rafting party to get both women to the shore, Mary Kohn tragically lost her life. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of water activities, especially in fast-flowing rivers like the Rogue River.

According to Marine Sergeant reports, there were life vests aboard the raft, but none of the individuals in the party were wearing them at the time of the incident. This serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of wearing proper safety gear when engaging in water sports.

As the search continues for closure, the dog that was in the raft during the incident, named Teddy, remains missing. Teddy is described as a black and white Australian Shepherd with a distinctive pink collar. Efforts are underway to locate Teddy and reunite him with his family amidst this tragic event.
