Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo revealed on Monday that the homicide on State Street on Sunday evening took place during a confrontation between 52-year-old Paul Kattouf and an unidentified driver. The altercation was believed to stem from previous animosity between the two individuals from a prior interaction on another roadway. During the confrontation, Kattouf reportedly sprayed pepper spray or a similar substance into the vehicle occupied by the man who later fatally shot him, his pregnant wife, and their young child. The presence of the family is a significant aspect being considered in the ongoing investigation.
The Harrisburg police department and the district attorney’s office are actively investigating the case, and as of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
