The incident occurred at BCM Heights, situated in the bustling Vijay Nagar area of the city.
The motive behind this heartbreaking incident remains unknown, and the local authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the case. A team of forensic experts was swiftly deployed to the scene, where they discovered the victim’s mobile phone on the rooftop.
The deceased has been identified as Surbhi Jain, a resident of Vijaya Nagar and a dedicated project manager at TCS. According to police sources, the young woman made the fateful decision to end her life on Monday afternoon by leaping from the tenth floor of the BCM Heights building, resulting in instant fatality.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, law enforcement officials, including the Station House Officer (SHO) and forensic specialists, promptly arrived at the location. During the investigation, Jain’s mobile phone was recovered from the precise spot where she took the irreversible action. Efforts are underway to reach out to her family and gather crucial information from her phone as part of the ongoing inquiry.
Third Tragic Suicide Incident in a Week
This unfortunate incident marks the third suicide case within a week in Indore. On June 19, a seventh-grade student sadly ended her life by jumping from the 14th floor. Despite being dropped off at the school gate by her father, the student deviated from her usual routine, opting to ascend a different building, ride the lift to the highest floor, and tragically take the fatal plunge.
Similarly, on June 17, a ten-year-old boy took his own life by hanging himself following a disagreement with a friend, adding to the distressing series of events in the city.
