Accident – Death – Obituary News : Dover, MN (KROC-AM News)- Two individuals, a teenage girl and an elderly woman, were rushed to a hospital following a collision in Olmsted County this past weekend.

The incident, which involved two vehicles, took place at approximately 9:45 on Saturday morning. The State Patrol promptly responded to the crash site located on Hwy. 14 between Dover and St. Charles.

According to the state crash report, both cars were traveling in opposite directions when they collided. The eastbound vehicle was operated by 17-year-old Adeline Rae Wolter from Dover, while the westbound car was driven by 84-year-old Margaret L Vevang-Dickie from Rochester.

Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment. Fortunately, both Wolter and Vevang-Dickie were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and alcohol was not a factor in the incident.

In addition to the State Patrol, the St. Charles Police Department, Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Eyota Ambulance, Eyota Fire Department, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance all responded to the scene of the two-vehicle collision.

The authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the cause and any contributing factors.

This unfortunate event serves as a reminder of the importance of safe driving practices and adhering to traffic laws to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
