UPDATE: The Texas Department of Public Safety has confirmed that the statewide AMBER Alert issued for an abducted child in El Paso has been discontinued. The abducted child, identified as 6-month-old Thomas Gallardo Jr., has been found safe. However, no further details have been released at this time.

The initial alert was sent out at approximately 7 a.m. on Sunday, and it was discontinued around 9 a.m.

El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department issued a statewide AMBER Alert for the abducted child, Thomas Gallardo Jr. The child was last seen in the early hours of Sunday, June 22, along the 700 block of Karl Drive.

Thomas Gallardo Jr. was last seen wearing a red Jordan onesie with black spots and was barefoot. The El Paso Police Department is actively searching for 28-year-old Thomas Gallardo, who is believed to be involved in the abduction.

The abduction occurred during an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect, Thomas Gallardo, was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, and white shoes. Authorities suspect that the suspect is driving a blue 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with Texas license plates LWR5358.

The last known location of the suspect and the abducted child was in El Paso. Law enforcement officials have reason to believe that the child is in grave or immediate danger.
