Accident – Death – Obituary News : An 11-year-old boy tragically lost his life after a devastating incident at Elante Mall in Chandigarh. Shahbaz Singh, a young boy from Nawanshahr in Punjab, fell from a toy train at the mall on Saturday night, sustaining fatal head injuries.
The Chandigarh Police have taken swift action in response to this heartbreaking incident, booking the driver of the toy train and holding the mall management accountable. Inspector Jaspal Singh Bhullar, SHO of Industrial Area police station, confirmed that an FIR has been filed in connection with the incident. The driver of the toy train, identified as Saurav, has been arrested in connection with the tragedy.
According to police sources, Shahbaz Singh was visiting the city with his family for an outing. Accompanied by his parents and his cousin’s family, they decided to visit Elante Mall for some leisure time. It was during a train ride at around 9.30 pm that the unthinkable happened.
Shahbaz and his cousin were seated in the last compartment of the toy train when tragedy struck. The compartment they were in reportedly overturned during the ride, causing Shahbaz to fall and suffer severe head injuries. Miraculously, his cousin managed to escape unharmed from the incident.
In a desperate bid to save their beloved son, Shahbaz’s family rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital at Chandigarh Sector 32 for urgent medical attention. Despite their best efforts, Shahbaz succumbed to his injuries, leaving his family devastated. After an autopsy was conducted, his body was released to his grieving parents.
