Tragic Shooting Incident Claims Life of Andhra Pradesh Man in Arkansas, USA

GUNTUR : A 32-year-old man hailing from Andhra Pradesh met a tragic end in a shooting incident at a grocery store in Central Arkansas, USA. The victim, identified as Dasari Gopi Krishna, belonged to Yajali village in Karlapalem mandal, Bapatla district.

The heart-wrenching incident occurred on a Friday, leading to Gopi Krishna’s demise at a hospital on Sunday. The Arkansas State Police swiftly apprehended the shooter, identified as Travis Eugene Posey (44) of New Edinburg. Posey sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the altercation, as confirmed by Mike Hagar, Cabinet Secretary of the Arkansas Department of Public Safety.

Reports indicate that Gopi Krishna had relocated to the United States just eight months ago. He was employed at a grocery store named Mad Butcher in Fordyce, a quaint town in Arkansas. Shocking CCTV footage captures the assailant entering the store and firing at Gopi Krishna, who was stationed at the billing counter. Post the attack, the perpetrator leaped over the counter, grabbed an item from a shelf, and swiftly fled the scene.

Despite immediate medical attention, Gopi Krishna succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, leaving his family shattered by the devastating news. The 32-year-old is survived by his wife and son, casting a pall of gloom over Yajali village.
