The victims, identified as Bindu (44) and her 12-year-old son Alwin of Thekkeveettil in Kudungassery, were returning home after visiting a relative when the unfortunate incident occurred. Bindu’s husband, Claison, who was also riding on the scooter with them, survived the crash but sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
The fatal accident took place around 8 PM on Sunday amidst heavy rainfall, causing the scooter to lose control and skid on the wet road. The young boy, Alwin, who lost his life in the tragic incident, was a bright 7th-grade student at K.P.M. High School in Edavanakad.
