A 21-year-old woman is facing charges after a tragic incident in Alamance County, North Carolina. The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) reported that the woman, identified as Tamyiah Lakerria Anderson, hit four people with her car, resulting in the death of one individual.
The horrific incident occurred on Friday night, just before 10:50 p.m., on the 2400 block of East Simpson Road in Green Level. Deputies and troopers from the NC Highway Patrol rushed to the scene of the crash, where they discovered four individuals lying in the roadway, having been struck by a vehicle.
According to witnesses, Anderson had driven to a residence on East Simpson Road, where a physical altercation ensued. Following the altercation, Anderson reportedly got into her car and deliberately hit the four victims. Tragically, 22-year-old Brendy Janet Garcia Resendiz was dragged by the vehicle and succumbed to her injuries. Another victim suffered serious injuries from being dragged, while the remaining two victims sustained minor injuries.
Charges Filed by ACSO and NCSHP
Both the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office and the NC Highway Patrol have levied charges against Anderson for her actions. The charges filed include:

- 1 count of Driving While Impaired
- 1 count of Possession of Open Container of Alcohol

- 1 count of Driving Left of Center
- 1 count of Seatbelt Violation
