Four injured, one killed in shooting on Starlight Drive, Winston-Salem police say

Five individuals were shot, resulting in one fatality during an early morning shooting incident, as per reports from the Winston-Salem Police Department. The authorities responded to the 2000 block of Starlight Drive around 12:26 a.m. and found four victims with gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Angelo Delacruz Calleja, 18; a 54-year-old woman; a 51-year-old man; and a 31-year-old man. While three victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment, Calleja was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the incident, Austreberto Marin Figueroa, 43, presented himself at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Figueroa has been apprehended and charged with general murder in connection with the case. He is currently in custody at the Forsyth County Detention Center without bond. The investigation indicates that this shooting was not a random act of violence, and there is no perceived threat to the community.
