Authorities from the Arkansas State Police have sadly confirmed that a fourth individual has passed away as a result of the tragic mass shooting that took place outside the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce on Friday.
The latest victim has been identified as 81-year-old Ellen Shrum. The other victims who lost their lives in this senseless act of violence were Callie Weems, Roy Sturgis, and Shirley Taylor.
It has been reported that five women and two men, aged between 20 and 65, sustained injuries during the shooting and are currently receiving medical treatment for their wounds.
Furthermore, Officer James Johnson of the Fordyce Police Department and Officer John Hudson from the Stuttgart Police Department were also injured in the incident and are receiving medical care.
The alleged perpetrator of this heinous crime, 44-year-old Travis Eugene Posey, is facing four charges of capital murder, with the possibility of additional charges being brought against him in the future.
