BRATTLEBORO — A 19-year-old Brattleboro resident, Lavadus Williams, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder following a fatal stabbing incident at the Brattleboro Transportation Center. The arrest was made by authorities and announced on Friday.
Williams was taken into custody and processed at the Brattleboro Police Department before his scheduled appearance in Windham County Superior Court later in the day.
Details of the Incident
The tragic incident took place at 77 Flat Street on June 20 at around 10:47 p.m. Police were called to the scene where they discovered the victim had sustained multiple stab wounds. Emergency medical services from the Brattleboro Fire Department immediately initiated life-saving measures before rushing the victim to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim has not been revealed at this time.
