The Childersburg Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that occurred on Friday night, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. The incident took place at approximately 11:04 p.m. in Childersburg, Alabama.
The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Terrance Collins, a resident of Childersburg. The police responded to the scene of the accident, which occurred on Hwy 280 near Coosa Pines Drive. Upon arrival, they found Collins lying in the road, having been struck by multiple vehicles. Thankfully, all of the drivers involved in the incident remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Collins was immediately transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center for urgent medical attention. Tragically, despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the medical facility.
The Childersburg Police Department is working tirelessly to gather all necessary information and evidence related to the incident. They are urging anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has any relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
