According to the authorities, the man in question, identified as 59-year-old Radhakrishna Pillai, was reportedly intoxicated when he made advances towards the young girl who was on her way home from her Plus Two classes. Upon receiving a distress call from her daughter, the mother rushed to the scene and confronted the man.
