Watertown Man : “Dodge County Standoff: Man in Custody, Woman Injured”

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. – A 38-year-old Watertown resident was apprehended in the early hours of Saturday, June 22nd, after a tense standoff in Dodge County. A woman was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a distress call around 5:15 p.m. reporting a 36-year-old woman with multiple deep lacerations at a residence on County Q in the Town of Shields.

Upon arrival, deputies swiftly evacuated the injured woman and handed her over to Watertown Paramedics for immediate care before she was transported to Aurora Medical Center in Summit. Her condition is currently stable.

Law enforcement then cordoned off the area and established a perimeter around the property. The suspect, a 38-year-old individual from Watertown, barricaded himself inside the residence until 12:16 a.m., when the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team successfully entered and arrested him.

“This incident remains under investigation, and the suspect is currently receiving medical attention. Once he is cleared by medical professionals and interviews have been conducted, appropriate charges will be considered,” stated the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
