The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene just before 8:10 p.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a teenage boy who had sustained gunshot wounds. The 13-year-old victim was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. At the time of transportation, the victim was conscious and breathing.
