Accident – Death – Obituary News : A man from Bucks County is currently facing a total of 35 felony charges in connection with a daylight robbery that took place last month at a bank in Allentown. Kareem Ali Greene, aged 40 and a resident of Telford, has been charged with 12 felony counts of robbery, as well as several other charges. Court documents do not currently show any legal representation for Greene.

The incident unfolded on May 6, when authorities in Allentown received reports of an armed individual carrying two firearms inside a building on the campus of Muhlenberg College, located at 2400 Chew St. Shortly after, another 911 call came in reporting the presence of a gunman in the same vicinity.

While law enforcement conducted a sweep of the campus and several public schools in the area went into lockdown, an armed robbery was reported at a Wells Fargo bank on the 100 Block of College Drive at 12:28 p.m. The bank is situated just a few blocks away from Muhlenberg College.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, a masked man donning a black cape, later identified as Greene, entered the bank brandishing a handgun. He then proceeded to order everyone present to lie on the ground before climbing over the teller counter and emptying the cash registers, making off with over $20,000 in cash. Witnesses were able to provide the license plate of the Mitsubishi Greene had driven to the scene, which was later found to be stolen.

Further investigations revealed that the Mitsubishi had been parked at Lehigh and Lumber streets at 12:03 p.m. on the day of the robbery. Surveillance footage showed Greene exiting the vehicle in question and entering a Dodge Charger parked nearby.

Subsequent events led city police to a suspicious vehicle matching the description of the Mitsubishi in the 2600 block of College Lane in Salisbury Township on May 17. This location is in close proximity to the Wells Fargo bank where the robbery occurred.

Authorities were able to link the license plate on the Dodge Charger to a Ford Focus from New York that was currently under suspension. Surveillance footage showed the Dodge traveling along American Parkway before parking on Hamilton Street shortly before 11 a.m. on May 6.

Police were already familiar with Greene, who had a previous conviction in July 2021. Matching the still photographs and video footage from the robbery to Greene, detectives were able to establish his involvement in the crime.

A search warrant was obtained for Greene’s cellphone on May 22, which revealed that he had made a 911 call to Muhlenberg College just before carrying out the bank robbery. Video footage showed Greene at the scene of the crime, interacting with other individuals involved in the incident.

In addition to the robbery charges, Greene faces twelve counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, seven counts of making terroristic threats, two counts of firearms offenses, one count of theft, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of weapons possession, and six counts of simple assault.

Following his arraignment before District Judge Linda Vega Sirop on Thursday, Greene’s bail was set at $800,000. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the Lehigh County jail. A preliminary hearing has been tentatively scheduled for July 3 before Sirop to determine if there is sufficient evidence to proceed with a trial in the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas.
