Two mysterious objects discovered 40 miles apart in the North Carolina mountains have been confirmed to be parts from a SpaceX spacecraft. The findings have sparked intrigue and speculation among locals and space enthusiasts alike.
According to a report by ABC affiliate WLOS, NASA Public Affairs released a statement confirming the origins of the objects, which were found at the end of May. The objects, described as black with carbon fiber weaving and burnt titanium, have left many residents in awe.
The first object was found by Justin Clontz, a grounds maintenance worker at The Glamping Collective. Standing at approximately 3 feet high and too heavy to carry, Clontz had to use a lawn mower to move it off the trail where it was discovered.
The second object was stumbled upon by Mike Wooten in his own yard. Wooten recounted hearing a thump on the roof of his house before discovering the mysterious object outside.
