Mujahed : Indian Man alleges genitals removed in non-consensual sex change surgery: ‘Changed from boy to girl’

A young man in Uttar Pradesh, India, has come forward with harrowing allegations of undergoing gender reassignment surgery without his consent at a local hospital, resulting in the removal of his genitalia.

According to a report by India Today, 20-year-old Mujahed claims that a man coerced him into the surgery with the intention of marrying him.

While the hospital has vehemently denied these allegations, the details of Mujahed’s ordeal are deeply disturbing.

The Alleged Incident

India Today reported that Mujahed was taken to the hospital and sedated by an individual who had previously harassed him. Subsequently, he underwent the surgery without his knowledge or consent.

Upon waking up the morning after the operation, Mujahed was shocked to discover that his genitalia had been removed. He alleges that the individual who took him to the hospital, Amprakash, claimed he was now a woman and would be married off in Lucknow.

Furthermore, Mujahed claimed that Amprakash threatened to harm his father if he resisted the coerced gender reassignment.

Legal Action and Public Outcry

In response to the complaint filed by Mujahed’s father, police arrested Amprakash on June 16. However, the case has sparked outrage among local farmers’ union members who protested outside the hospital, accusing the authorities of negligence in investigating the matter.

A leader of the union went as far as alleging that the hospital doctors were involved in illegal organ trafficking.

Hospital Denial and Contradictory Claims

Despite the serious allegations, the local hospital in Muzaffarnagar refuted the claims of non-consensual gender reassignment surgery. A senior official, Kirti Goswami, stated that Mujahed had been a regular visitor to plastic surgery specialist Reza Farooqi for over two months.

Goswami explained that Mujahed had expressed a desire to undergo gender reassignment surgery and had been referred to a psychiatrist. After being deemed mentally suitable, Mujahed underwent the surgery on June 6. There is purportedly a video of Mujahed discussing the surgery, although it has not been released to the public.
