Mujahid : “20 YO Claims Deceived Into Sex Surgery”

In a startling turn of events, a 20-year-old man named Mujahid from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, has alleged that a sex-change surgery was carried out on him without his consent. Mujahid claimed that he was sedated by a man named Omprakash and taken to Begrajpur Medical College in Mansoorpur, where the surgery took place on June 3.

Omprakash, who had reportedly been harassing Mujahid for two years, allegedly coerced doctors into performing the surgery. However, the medical professionals at the hospital have denied any wrongdoing and maintain that the procedure was done with Mujahid’s consent.

According to reports, Mujahid woke up after the surgery to find out that he had been transformed from a boy to a girl. Omprakash then allegedly informed him that they would be heading to Lucknow for marriage, and threatened to harm Mujahid’s father if he resisted.

Medical Professionals’ Perspective

The Chief Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Kirti Goswami, stated that Mujahid had been visiting the facility for two months, expressing a desire for sex reassignment surgery. He had been under the care of plastic surgeon Dr Raza Farooqui, who referred him to psychiatrists to evaluate his mental health prior to the operation.

Goswami clarified that the surgery was performed only after two psychiatrists deemed Mujahid mentally fit for the procedure. He emphasised that all protocols were followed, and the surgery was conducted under Dr Farooqui’s supervision.

Public Outcry and Demands for Justice

The case has sparked outrage among members of the Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU), who staged a protest outside the medical college. They accused the doctors of engaging in illegal organ trade and demanded a compensation of Rs 2 crore for Mujahid.

Farm leader Shyam Pal voiced concerns about potential organ trafficking activities at the hospital, calling for a thorough investigation into the matter. Circle Officer Ramashish Singh assured that the allegations raised by Mujahid’s family were being taken seriously, and an investigation was ongoing.
